Summary

Rose Creek Lumber, a family-owned business specializing in custom solid-wood moulding, flooring, and shiplap, sought a logo and business card design that embodied sophistication and dependability. Located in a rural area of southern Illinois, the company wanted a polished look that transcended its small-town roots while staying true to its heritage. The logo prominently features “Rose Creek,” inspired by the creek flowing through the family farm, with a timeless oak tree symbolizing strength and longevity.

The design incorporates an all-caps font with a shadow effect, reminiscent of early 20th-century hand-painted signage, evoking a sense of craftsmanship and tradition. Black and white were chosen as the primary colors, with a muted gray tree on the back of the business cards for understated elegance. The cohesive design speaks to the company’s values: quality, reliability, and a connection to its rural origins. This project successfully elevated the brand, providing a professional yet approachable identity that resonates with its target audience.
